The Cartworth Coat: Bears Paw Patchwork

A robe style outerwear piece, designed to be worn open as an easy throw-on jacket. A highly versatile addition to your wardrobe, the Cartworth is the perfect layering piece that's effortlessly chic. 

 

This one-of-a-kind version has been made from a repurposed vintage patchwork blanket, which has been lovingly restored where parts of original hand-stitching were in need of repair.  It's been cut to make the most of the beautiful rainbow coloured bears paw motifs, which feature on the patch pockets, sleeves and centre back.

• Exaggerated drop-shoulder
• Giant patch pockets, edged with original contrast topstitching
• Robe-style neckband, with rainbow patchwork stripes
• French seams, with bound neckline and internal hanger loop

 

Please note: due to the nature of working with vintage materials, some signs of aging are to be expected. Parts of the fabric may be more faded or a little thinner. But this is all part of the piece's charm & tell the story of a well-loved textile.
